This deletes numeric characters wherever they appear, leaving the surrounding text in place.
Different from removing lines
Filters that drop whole lines containing digits remove the entire entry. This removes only the digits and keeps the rest of the line.
Where it is useful
Stripping years from titles to find the underlying pattern, removing IDs from paths to see the URL structure, or clearing quantities from product names to group them.
Watch the gaps left behind
Removing digits from Top 10 Tips leaves Top Tips with a double space. Normalise whitespace afterwards.
