Level: Advanced
Moving to a new email service provider, new sending domain, or new IP infrastructure carries genuine deliverability risk if not planned and executed carefully.
Plan Authentication Configuration Before the Migration, Not During
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for the new infrastructure should be fully configured and verified working before any real sending volume moves over, not set up reactively after the fact.
Run Parallel Sending During a Transition Period
Gradually shifting volume from old to new infrastructure over a defined transition period, rather than an abrupt full cutover, gives you room to catch and fix issues before they affect your entire sending volume.
Treat New Infrastructure as Needing Its Own Reputation Building
Even with a strong sending history on the old infrastructure, new IPs or a new sending domain generally need their own reputation-building period, similar to any new sending setup.
Next step: Use the Domain Hosting Checker to check the hosting and infrastructure details of your new sending environment as part of migration planning.
